Bombay Bites Restauarnt hosts a Dinner Party for Rotract Club Dental College -Shimla

It is difficult in the present scenario to think of charity and service to humanity. At the same time, this is also an apt time for extending such service as the whole world is  COVID 19 stricken, directly or indirectly.

Bombay Bite ( B-square), a vegetarian family restaurant was approached by upcoming Dental Doctors to make contributions to their newly formed Rotract Club. The thought behind the creation of this club is benign, they say getting involved in social activities would make them better doctors.

Bombay Bites(B-Square) provided the dinner at a discounted rate which in turn was counted as a donation for their cause.

Menu -

A simple vegetarian menu was set for the party which included Munchow Soup, Jeera Rice, Paneer Butter Masala, MixVeg, Veg Raita, Assorted Rotis & Hot Gulab Jamun

Spiced Idlis were served as snacks with authentic tomato/coconut chutneys.

This was followed by the serving of Muchow Soup which we decided to include because all the participants were young.

Amusement-

Bombay Bites Restaurant, Shimla has such an appealing setting that prompts you to indulge in singing/playing guitar, if you are carrying one. There was one female who was carrying a guitar and once she got triggered, there was no stopping. The dance & the music filled the restaurant with energy.

Thanks to the crowd who listened and closed their party at 10:30 pm. The organizers at their end were constantly monitoring that the rules are followed and the restaurant doesn't get into any issue with the neighbors due to high decibel levels.

Daafi House - An Offbeat Place to Stay close to Shimla

Realizing the fact that Shimla is already crowded, Hotels & Resorts are finding more hills around Shimla to house their hospitality projects. This idea is sure to get the tourists flooded in these areas. One such place is Theog which is now known as a mountain village, chosen by Taj for their premier property. Now Club Mahindra has also found a place near Taj. I was close to the Taj location for one of our project-setting-up when I encountered this property which is my prime focus in this article. The property signboard read - Daafi. The Architecture was captivating & could not resist requesting the manager to allow me to go around and take pictures. The property has Vernacular Architecture looks- high stone walls and lined with wooden spars. I even noticed the spars extruding out of walls to provide the real Vernacular Architecture looks. Kudos to the Architect & Owner, who hail from Himachal itself,  for finalizing such a design. More than the architect it's the owner

Drive from Shimla to Rampur Bushehar

I always feel the traveler has to be whimsical. The moment thought comes to your mind, pick up your vehicle, gather companions, and get-set-go !! My family demanded an outing, and I thought let's go for a drive. While taking the car out from the parking lot, I asked my wife," Which way, right or left ?".Well, we headed towards a left-way to Kufri, Narkanda, Rampur, Sarahan. The destination set was Sarahan, Bhimakali temple. On the way, we passed through Kufri, Kaithu, Theog, Narkanda, Kumarsain.  Somewhere near Theog By the time we reached Kumarsain, it was late afternoon and we were famished. We didn't get any decent place en route. HP Tourism restaurant at Narkanda was blocked due to snowfall, and we didn't want to climb the curled knolls formed by the snow cutter.  Lucky us, we got " Happy Bhojnalya " near Kumasain. I could spot a ladder to reach the terrace of the restaurant. I decided to request the owner to set our lunch on the terrace which he agr
